Magdalena Persson

Magdalena Persson has been Advisor to EQT since 2017.

Magdalena started her career in the IT services industry where she was appointed General Manager of WM-Data Business Partner AB in 2001. In 2003 she joined Microsoft as The Enterpise Sales Director in Sweden. In 2005 she was appointed CEO of the change management agency SamSari AB, which she headed through an expansive phase leading up to an exit, before re-joining Microsoft as Senior Director of Commercial in the Western Europe Region 2010-2014. In 2014 Magdalena was recruited to the role as CEO of Interflora AB 2014-2017 to head a multichannel business in need of a substantial transformation in terms of brand, competence and digitalization. A new strategy was defined and launched and a new IT Platform for the e-commerce and store network was developed, allowing the e-commerce to outgrow retail sales.

Since 2017 Magdalena works a board professional and industrial advisor. As Chairperson of the Board of Affecto Plc listed on the Helsinki stock exchange Magdalena lead and negotiated the deal when CGI in 2017 launched a voluntary recommended public tender offer for all shares. She is today both Chairperson and a non-Executive Director of both listed and privately held companies in different industries, often with a special focus on Digitalization.

Magdalena holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from Linköping University and a Licentiate of Economics and Management from the International Graduate School of Management and Industrial Engineering, Linköping Institute of Technology, Sweden
