Bernd Scheifele

Bernd Scheifele has been an Advisor to EQT since 2020.

From 1988 until 1994, Bernd was an attorney at law firm Gleiss Lutz Hootz Hirsch where he became a partner in 1991.

In 1994, he was appointed CEO of Phoenix Pharmahandel AG & Co KG which he remained for 11 years. Since then, Bernd has been active Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PHOENIX Pharma SE.

From 2005 until 2020, Bernd was CEO of Heidelberg Materials AG. His tenure of 15 years makes him one of the longest-serving CEOs of a DAX company. Since 2022, Bernd has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Heidelberg Materials AG.

Bernd studied law at the Universities of Freiburg and Dijon. Following the First State Exam, he received a Fulbright scholarship for United States and completed the Master’s Degree Program with Master of Laws (LLM) in 1984.
