In 2009, EQT V acquired KMD.

KMD primarily operates within IT software solutions and services to the Danish municipalities and central government. KMD is one of the largest IT software and service providers in Denmark and is the undisputed market leader within its core customer segment, the municipalities.

During EQT’s ownership, KMD implemented a wide range of improvements and efficiency enhancements of its internal systems and processes, while also developing a number of new software solutions. KMD is today a professionally run and competitive business with exciting growth potential. In 2011, the Company reported revenue of DKK 4,266 million and EBITDA of DKK 577 million.

In 2012, EQT V sold KMD to Advent International.
