  • EUR 350m+ Investment range
  • 3Closed investments
  • 14Investment Advisory Professionals

An integrated part of EQT Private Equity, EQT Future backs robust and downside-protected business models in two thematic areas: Climate & Nature and Health & Wellbeing.

EQT Future's innovative approach enables EQT to hold companies for longer, leveraging EQT’s proven active ownership approach and a tailored impact management and measurement toolbox to drive attractive downside-protected returns.

The Fund is Article 9 classified and has innovated around ways to align sustainability with financial returns, linking carried interest to sustainability targets.

The Fund seeks to generate net positive impact in portfolio companies through two pathways: 1) identifying and incentivizing a pivot from the existing market offering at the time of investment towards products and services with a measurable positive impact; and/or 2) scaling existing impactful products and services for greater reach and depth of impact.

EQT Future sets portfolio-wide sustainability targets for its investments to transform how businesses are operated. The targets are supplemented with tailored impact KPIs for each business, designed to accelerate the positive impact of the company’s products or services.

The EQT Impact Toolbox

EQT Future screens for, monitors, and manages for impact outcomes throughout the investment process by using its Impact Toolbox. This includes rigorous management and measurement, such as:

  • negative and positive screening
  • assessment templates inspired by industry gold-standards (such as the Operating Principles for Impact Management and the Impact Management Project’s 5 Dimensions of Impact)
  • bespoke impact acceleration plans to support base and upside impact cases
  • support from EQT’s Impact Advisors and the Mission Board

In addition, EQT Future tracks asset-level impact KPIs, aligned with the business impact case, as well as three sustainability performance KPIs across the portfolio:

  • GHG emissions reductions, in line with the Science Based Targets
  • Improved employee well-being through industry top-quartile employee Net Promoter Score
  • Increased gender diversity, where progress is tracked towards a 50 percent split within the top 20 percent of earners in the company
