A buyout strategy dedicated to healthcare

Accelerating innovation underpinned by strong secular growth drivers is creating an increasing opportunity to invest in innovative and differentiated healthcare products and services that can help address a growing need for better, more efficient, and accessible healthcare. Against this backdrop, EQT has established a dedicated healthcare mid-market buyout strategy: EQT Healthcare Growth to predominantly make control investments in innovative, profitable companies with a strong growth outlook.

By applying EQT’s active ownership approach and leveraging its global network, EQT Healthcare Growth seeks to scale companies in the same subsectors as EQT Private Equity by building commercial muscle and expanding their global reach to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns and simultaneously deliver positive outcomes across the healthcare value chain.

The dedicated EQT Healthcare Growth team is supported by an active Investment Committee including relevant senior EQT leaders and is an integral part of EQT’s global healthcare sector vertical and the broader Private Capital platform. The team combines the deep scientific expertise and ability to identify emerging trends from EQT Life Sciences with EQT Private Equity’s value creation playbook and 30-year track record in healthcare investing.

EQT’s 30-year healthcare track record

EQT has three decades of healthcare experience, having invested over EUR 24 billion in more than 200 companies, from early-stage to mature buyout. With a global team of more than 110 dedicated investment professionals across 20 countries and a network of over 150 industry leading advisors in healthcare, EQT is one of the largest private investors in healthcare. Within the EQT Private Equity strategy, over the past decade almost half of the portfolio has been in healthcare.
