Wolfgang Gaertner

Wolfgang Gaertner has been an Advisor to EQT since 2016.

Wolfgang is a Senior Advisor with 30 years of experience as a global tech and ops leader in the financial industry. He started his career at Commerzbank AG where he became Global CIO for Corporates and Capital Markets. From 1998 to 2016, he served Deutsche Bank AG in various senior executive roles, latest as Global CIO Retail and CIO Germany. During his time at Deutsche Bank AG, he was also Global CIO of the Transaction Bank with responsibility for IT and Ops in payments, trade finance and securities. He was member of the Board of SWIFT Scrl (Belgium) for 12 years and held various other board positions in banking and processing entities. Since 2019, Wolfgang is a Member of the Board of Clearstream Banking Luxembourg S.A..

Wolfgang attended the University of Karlsruhe (KIT) and holds a Diploma in Economics and Computer Science.
