Changes in EQT AB’s management team
Jussi Saarinen, Partner and Head of EQT CR, will, after 13 successful years with the firm, leave EQT and Morten Hummelmose has been appointed new Head of EQT CR. Morten will also become a member of the EQT Executive Committee. The leadership change follows a strategic review of EQT’s Capital Raising & Client Relations (CR) operations leading to a longer-term commitment which Jussi has expressed a wish not to make given his long tenure with EQT.
Morten Hummelmose is one of EQT’s most experienced investment professionals and leaders. He joined EQT in 2006, is a Partner within Private Equity, and comes most recently from a role as Chairman of EQT North America and Head of the Private Equity business in North America.
Christian Sinding, CEO of EQT: “Since joining EQT in 2008, Jussi has played a crucial role in developing EQT’s multi-product offering and client relations operations. Under his leadership, EQT has raised more than EUR 70 billion in capital across 22 funds and Jussi has built a dedicated and highly professional global CR team. I would like to thank Jussi for his great efforts and wish him all the best with his future endeavors. I also look forward to welcoming Morten to the Executive Committee where CR continues to have a key strategic role. With Morten’s long investment experience and strong leadership skills, he will, together with our world class CR team, build and develop the operations further, in alignment with the overall EQT growth strategy.”
The CR leadership change is effective as of 1 January 2021.
