• EQT VI to acquire Færch Plast, a leading player in the rigid food plastic packaging industry, from Færch Holding
• EQT VI to support Færch Plast’s continued growth both organically and via acquisitions

EQT VI has entered into an agreement to acquire Færch Plast A/S. Færch Plast is a market leader within rigid plastic packaging for ready meals and protein food trays in the UK, Scandinavia and Benelux.

Færch Plast was founded in 1969, and has since then grown into a market leader in several growing areas of the packaging industry through excellence in production and product innovation. The company has during the last 5 years invested significantly in production automation, footprint and new product development providing a strong platform for accelerating growth even further. With EQT VI as the new owner, growth will be pursued both through additional market penetration and via acquisitions with Færch Plast as the platform.

In 2013, Færch Plast expects revenues of approximately DKK 1.1 billion and an EBITDA of DKK 236 million, and has approximately 500 employees primarily based in Denmark, the UK and Czech Republic.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals from the competition authorities.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction value.
