EQT Expansion Capital I provides mezzanine financing for the acquisition of BHS Sonthofen. The company was acquired by funds advised by Halder Beteilig ungsberatung.

BHS develops, manufactures and distributes turbo gear units. Turbo gears run at extremely high speed up to 220m/s at high efficiencies. They are used for turbines, compressors and blowers in the oil & gas, chemical/petrochemical and power generation industries. The company is based in Sonthofen, Germany and had approximately 300 employees and sales of € 49 million in 2004.
