Supporting the Wider Society
Having a long-term, responsible and sustainable approach to investment and ownership is EQT's way of creating value for society at large. EQT has a number of partnerships to support the wider society including local communities, and to inspire change in the broader financial industry.
Industry Engagements
EQT promotes responsible investment and ownership practices and increased transparency in the private equity and financial industry. EQT is actively engaged in discussions with investors, peers and advisors as well as supports and participates in various conferences and seminars. EQT is an active member of Invest Europe and participates in its various other working groups/forums.
Collaborations With Academia
EQT collaborates with academia, including meeting with, and presenting to, different schools and universities, and participating in interviews for several research papers on sustainability and other relevant topics. EQT collaborates with organizations and institutions such as Stockholm School of Economics.
- Nobel Prize Outreach
Nobel Prize Outreach’s mission is to inspire change guided by Alfred Nobel’s vision to work “for the greatest benefit to humankind”. The events bring Nobel Prize laureates and world-leading experts to locations across the globe to discuss and engage audiences with the challenges of our future.
Collaborations With Focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
F1RST (Local to Stockholm) - A free community initiative by the Daniel Sachs Foundation and the Stockholm School of Economics that empowers young talents aged 15–25 to explore future career and study opportunities through support, networking, and inspiring activities, aiming to democratize the business sector by broadening recruitment to institutions that educate future leaders.
Jobbsprånget (Local to Stockholm) - Sweden's largest internship program, connecting foreign-born academics with employers to facilitate their integration into the Swedish job market. EQT has collaborated with Jobbsprånget since 2022.
myGwork (Global) - A global business community that connects LGBTQ+ professionals, graduates, and inclusive employers, offering a platform for networking, job opportunities, mentorship, and professional events to promote workplace equality. EQT has been part of the MyGwork community since 2023. All EQT externally posted jobs appears on the MyGwork platform. EQT has a bronze membership for which EQT pay 15,000 EUR annually.
Level 20 - A not-for-profit organisation founded in 2015 by 12 women working in senior roles in private equity, aligned around a common vision of improving gender diversity in the industry. EQT has been an active promoter to the roll-out into the Nordics.
Empowering Employees
EQT offers employee donation matching through the EQT Foundation to support local communities affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
This initiative invites employees to initiate global fundraisers in times of need. Below are examples of recent employee fundraisers:
- Hurricane Helen and Milton Relief in the USA – Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helen and Milton, EQT provided assistance to employees of its portfolio companies and their communities. The EQT Foundation matched employee donations to support temporary housing, essential supplies, and rebuilding efforts for those affected.
- California Wildfires – The ongoing wildfires in California have displaced families, destroyed homes, and disrupted livelihoods. EQT has extended support to employees of its portfolio companies who have been directly impacted, while employee contributions were matched by the Foundation to fund local relief and recovery efforts.
- Gaza Conflict Humanitarian Relief – In response to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, EQT employees came together to fundraise for humanitarian aid efforts supporting impacted communities. The funds were distributed to four trusted organizations providing essential humanitarian aid across the region. These organizations focused on delivering medical supplies, food assistance, clean water, and emergency shelter to families affected by the crisis.
- Ukraine Humanitarian Aid – In response to the invasion of Ukraine, EQT employees organized fundraising campaigns to provide critical support to displaced families and individuals. Donations were matched by the EQT Foundation, contributing to medical aid, shelter, and food distribution for affected communities.
