Steven Stein
Mr. Stein is responsible for managing EQT Real Estate's industrial real estate leasing activities and for sourcing lease transactions across North America. In this capacity, he serves as one of the Co-Portfolio Managers of the U.S. industrial value fund series. Mr. Stein oversees a 340 million SF portfolio and has supervised or directly handled the execution of over 500 lease transactions totaling over 80 million square feet since joining the Company.
Prior to taking this national role in 2024, he served as the Managing Director and Regional Head of the Central region, overseeing acquisitions, development, leasing and asset management across 14 markets, increasing the regional portfolio to over 130 million SF. Previously, Mr. Stein assisted in leasing, development, and acquisition opportunities throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions from EQT Real Estate’s Philadelphia headquarters.
Prior to joining EQT Real Estate in 2013, Mr. Stein was Director of Development for Main Street Building and Development, a commercial construction and development company where he oversaw new business, construction operations, and client relations. He began his career as a structural engineer at Cubellis in Philadelphia, PA and obtained his LEED Accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Mr. Stein earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Architectural Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business.
