Shigesuke Kashiwagi

From 1982 to 2016, Shigesuke worked at Nomura, a leading investment bank in Japan. More than half of his career was spent on the trading floors of fixed-income divisions in Tokyo, New York, and London. Later he performed four executive roles: Global Head of Fixed Income, Regional Head for the Americas, Global Head of Regulatory Affairs, and CFO.

From 2016 to 2020, he served as Country Head of Japan for Schroders, a British Asset Management Company.

He is also a co-founder and Managing Partner of Bwac JAPAN, which provides consulting services in Finance and Art. The firm provides advisory services to various companies, including start-up companies in Japan in finance areas and non-Japanese finance companies which seek opportunities to develop in Japanese markets.

He studied Economics at Keio University and received MBA from New York University.
