Seung Hoon Sun
Seung Hoon Sun has been working with EQT since 2024.
He is an experienced executive with deep expertise in finance and international healthcare management. He began his career at Citi Bank in Seoul as a financial professional, and since 1992, has served as CEO of Sun Medical Center, leading a wide range of healthcare initiatives both in Korea and abroad.
His global experience includes establishing and operating an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in the United States, directing hospital development and consulting projects across Asia, and spearheading Korea’s first hospital consulting engagement in Europe. Most recently, he led the launch of a government-partnered international hospital in Bali, Indonesia, which opened in 2025.
He also served as CEO of Corentec, a publicly listed joint implant manufacturer in Korea, gaining extensive hands-on experience across finance, healthcare delivery, and the medical device industry.
From 2000 to 2024, Seung Hoon Sun served as the Honorary Consul of Sweden in Korea, contributing to cultural exchange and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Seung Hoon Sun holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, completed the MBA program at Georgetown University and pursued a PhD in Healthcare Management at Inje University Medical School.
