Russell Petrie

Russell Petrie is Head of Living - Europe at EQT Real Estate and a member of the firm's European Living Investment Committee. He leads EQT's Living investment strategy across Europe, sourcing and underwriting assets in structurally undersupplied markets and helping shape the firm's cross-border investment approach within the living sector. Based in London, Russell brings deep operator knowledge and a strong focus on tenant experience - an approach central to EQT's thematic conviction in direct-to-consumer, living-sector real estate. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on the European Living market, drawing on his experience of developing over 20,000 beds across Europe. Russell began his career at Barclays in London before joining EQT in November 2021 from Round Hill Capital, where he focused on the European student housing sector. He holds an Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
