Robert Grant

Robert Grant is a Managing Director at EQT Real Estate, where he heads the firm's self storage strategy, STOREX. Robert leads a dedicated team across the full investment lifecycle — from land acquisition and development through construction, leasing, and asset management — reflecting EQT Real Estate's focus on operationally intensive real estate strategies. Based in London, Robert's work spans EQT Real Estate's self storage platform across the UK and into Continental Europe. STOREX currently operates five trading stores in London, with a new build development pipeline of 16 within London and Madrid targeting approximately 1.5 million square feet of additional self storage capacity. Robert joined EQT in November 2021. Prior to joining, he was the European Construction and Development Director for Shurgard Self Storage, where he led a pan-European expansion programme delivering approximately 6.6 million square feet of self storage across six countries through organic growth, redevelopment, and acquisitions totalling €1.1 billion. Before Shurgard, Robert spent 25 years in the British Army, serving across the Middle East, Africa, and the Balkans. Robert holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Royal School of Military Engineering.
