Martin Rey

Martin Rey has been an Advisor to EQT since 2010.

In 1988, Martin started his career at Bayerische Vereinsbank (today: UniCredit), where he held numerous management positions, last that of a member of the Group Executive Management Board. From 2003 to 2010 he was an Executive Member of the Board of Directors, responsible for the EMEA region at Sydney-based global investment company Babcock & Brown. Between 2000 and 2012 he also was a Non Exec Member of the Board of Brisa AutoEstradas de Portugal S.A., the Chairperson of Renerco Renewable Energy Concepts AG, a Non Exec Board member of debis AirFinance B.V., Rotterdam and Deputy Chairperson of the German Export Credit Agency AKA GmbH. Since 2010, Martin has been acting as a professional Non-Exec Chairperson and Board Member as well as Investment Committee Member advising multiple international business and owners predominantly in the Energy and broader Infrastructure Sector.

Martin studied Law at the University of Bonn and Business Administration at the University of Hagen.
