Kathryn Raymond
Kathryn Raymond is a Tax Managing Director specializing in federal and state taxation for real estate funds and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). She has extensive experience advising on the taxation of REITs and partnerships across the real estate investment lifecycle. Kathryn joined EQT after a 27-year career at PwC, where she advised clients on complex tax matters, transaction structuring, tax planning, and compliance. Throughout her career, she has led numerous acquisition and divestiture due diligence engagements, providing strategic tax insights and supporting tax-efficient investment strategies. She has significant experience structuring transactions to optimize after-tax returns for both domestic and foreign investors, as well as developing and implementing tax-efficient solutions for a wide range of real estate investments and transactions. In addition, Kathryn has managed large-scale federal and state tax compliance projects for sophisticated real estate investment platforms. Her areas of expertise include REIT taxation, partnership taxation, transaction structuring, tax due diligence, tax planning, compliance, and REIT qualification matters. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in German Commercial Studies from the University of Illinois, as well as a Master of Science in Taxation from Northern Illinois University.
