Gardner Ellner

Mr. Gardner Ellner serves as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Industrial Investments at EQT Real Estate, where he leads the sourcing, structuring, and execution of industrial acquisitions and developments across the United States. He is a voting member of the firm’s Industrial Investment Committee and plays a key role in shaping and implementing EQT Real Estate’s national investment strategy across the logistics and industrial sectors. Since joining EQT Real Estate in 2020, Mr. Ellner has completed more than $11 billion of industrial transactions. Over the course of his 22-year career, he has overseen more than $17 billion of direct real estate investments spanning industrial, office, multifamily, and retail property types. Prior to joining EQT Real Estate, Mr. Ellner was a Senior Director at CBRE Global Investors (now CBRE Investment Management), where he led acquisitions of industrial, office, retail, self-storage, and cold storage assets throughout the Western United States. He managed the full investment lifecycle—including sourcing, underwriting, structuring, negotiation, and execution—on behalf of a diverse range of investment vehicles, including core and value-add funds, separate accounts, and domestic and international joint ventures. Mr. Ellner holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate Finance from the University of Southern California. He is also a graduate of the Groton School in Groton, Massachusetts.
