Dave O'Brien

Dave O'Brien is a Senior Director at EQT, where he leads the firm's Living Strategies for Germany, focusing on the acquisition and asset management of residential real estate. He is responsible for building EQT's German residential portfolio across large metropolitan regions, targeting value-add opportunities in major urban centres and their wider metropolitan areas. Based in Berlin, Dave focuses on Germany's chronic undersupply of quality rental housing for middle-income households - identifying assets in established and emerging submarkets where demographic growth, constrained new supply, and affordability pressures create durable long-term demand. He brings 19 years of dedicated German residential experience to EQT, having previously held Managing Director roles leading acquisitions and investment strategy at Round Hill Capital and Heimstaden Germany. Dave holds an Executive Masters in Real Estate (Immobilienökonom) from IREBS and a degree in Management and Information Systems from Dublin Business School.
