Dan Ross

Dan Ross is Construction and Development Director at EQT, where he is responsible for the firm's UK Living Strategies platform. His current mandate spans two live build-to-rent schemes, delivering 560 new apartments, alongside active management across a portfolio of more than 2,000 student beds in six purpose-built student accommodation assets. Across both portfolios, Dan works across the full value chain — from acquisition due diligence and development delivery to exit preparation, dispute resolution, and value-add leasing initiatives — reflecting EQT's strategy of building scaled living platforms in key UK markets. Based in London, Dan brings a background in both development management and commercial construction management to a sector that increasingly demands both. He has worked across residential and student accommodation at scale, and approaches asset challenges with a mix of technical rigour and value management. Dan joined EQT in 2024. Dan is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) and holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Queen Mary, University of London. He began his career at Arcadis in 2005 and has since held senior construction and development roles managing commercial, residential, and student accommodation developments. Earlier in his career, Dan worked on the cost management of multiple first-generation PBSA assets across London. Later, at Rocket Properties, he was development manager for the Atlas Building at 145 City Road — a 40-storey residential tower in central London. He subsequently held a senior role at V7 Asset Management, advising institutions including CBREIM and KFIM, before joining EQT.
