Christopher Merriewether

Christopher J. Merriewether is an Investment & Leasing Officer and the Atlanta Market Leader at EQT Real Estate, where he leads industrial real estate acquisitions, development, and leasing across the Greater Atlanta metropolitan market. He oversees the firm's local execution strategy in one of the Southeast's most active industrial corridors, connecting EQT's global platform to on-the-ground market opportunities. Based in Atlanta, Christopher's work is focused on the Greater Atlanta industrial market, one of the Southeast's most active logistics corridors. Earlier in his tenure at EQT, he also covered assets in South Carolina. Christopher joined EQT Real Estate in 2018 and has held investment and leasing responsibilities across the Southeast since that time. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Small Scale Development Council, the Real Estate Executive Council, and NAIOP, and serves on the Kansas State University Alumni Association Board. Prior to EQT, Christopher worked at ConocoPhillips/Phillips 66 in Houston across credit, treasury, financial and performance analysis, and global operations consulting, with a focus on energy manufacturing and logistics real assets and processes spanning the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Christopher holds an MBA with a double major in Real Estate and Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, including a real estate-focused exchange at INSEAD in Singapore, and a BS in Finance from Kansas State University.
