Carlos Molero Sánchez de la Blanca

Carlos Molero is Managing Director of Investment and Asset Management at EQT Real Estate, where he leads the firm's Living strategy across Southern Europe, covering student housing, flex living, residential and other living-related asset classes. Carlos joined EQT in November 2019. He championed EQT's early move into purpose-built student housing, a thematic that subsequently scaled across Europe, with investments in the UK and France. In Spain, he built the PBSA portfolio to scale and led it through to a successful exit. Carlos has worked across the full real estate value chain and on every side of the table. Starting out in his family's real estate business, he went on to Merrill Lynch in San Francisco, then JLL Madrid (leasing industrial space, tenant representation and corporate solutions), followed by years on the buy side at PwC and KPMG advising core capital — family offices, private investors and insurers — across logistics, high-street retail, supermarkets and offices, then pure development at ActivumSG (ground-up plus repositioning and change-of-use), and finally institutional investing and platform-building at EQT. This 360° perspective — how occupiers use space, how capital underwrites it, and how product is created — underpins the way he builds and scales living platforms today. Carlos holds an International MBA from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija / UC Berkeley, a Professional Certificate in International Business from UC Berkeley, and a BBA from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Carlos is MRICS, a member of ULI and GRI.
