Carl-Magnus Hallberg

Carl-Magnus Hallberg started as Executive in Residence with EQT Partners AB in 2018 and joined the company in 2019 as Managing Director. In his role, Carl-Magnus is driving digital transformation in the portfolio and oversees EQT's strategic partnerships with hyperscalers and global tech companies.

Carl-Magnus is an active investor in a handful of disruptive SaaS and AI start-ups.

Carl-Magnus began his career in his teenage years as a PC pioneer in software development in the 1980s and has maintained his own company in software development ever since. After his university studies, he joined Ericsson as VP of Data and Internet and later moved to become President of OM Technology and later SVP for Nasdaq, where he ran the technology arm. Prior to joining EQT, Carl-Magnus also served as CTO for Telia Company and supported some of the largest telcos in their digital transformation through executive engagements with main shareholders.

Carl-Magnus holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg and a Master of International Business from Chalmers School of Economics in Gothenburg.
