Samir Aksekar

Samir Aksekar is a Managing Director at EQT, where he advises portfolio companies across Asia Pacific on cybersecurity and AI security. He leads the Cyber Centre of Excellence for the APAC region within EQT Digital. His work positions cyber as a value protection lever, reflecting EQT's focus on digital maturity and AI transformation. Samir's work spans EQT's APAC portfolio across the BPEA Private Equity and Mid-Market Growth strategies. He supports deal teams, boards, and management teams from due diligence through exit readiness. He helps companies scale security capabilities in step with their business priorities. Samir joined EQT in March 2024. Samir holds an MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai University. Prior to joining EQT, he held senior leadership roles at JPMorgan and Tata Digital. At JPMorgan, he led regional technology risk programs across Asia. At Tata Digital, he helped secure the launch of one of India's largest digital commerce platforms.
