Dr. Bernd Bohr

Dr. Bernd Bohr has been an Advisor to EQT since 2017.

Bernd joined Robert Bosch GmbH in 1983 and worked in a number of operational leadership positions in Germany and Japan. He assumed worldwide responsibility for the company‘s automotive electronics division in 1996 and managed the development of ABS and Brakes division in 1998. In 1999 Bernd was appointed as member of the Management Board of Robert Bosch GmbH responsible for the Diesel Injection division with corporate responsibility for the region of Japan.

From 2003 to 2013 he was Chairperson of the Bosch’s Automotive Group with responsibility for the worldwide automotive activities of the company. Along with chairing the Group, he had direct line responsibility for the Powertrain Divisions and for Brake-Systems.

Bernd is advising a range of companies in the automotive arena. From 2013 to 2017, he was Member of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG. Today, he serves as Chairperson of the Supervisory Boards of Deutz AG and Ottobock SE, is a member of the Expert Advisory Board of Marelli Group as well as chairing the Board of Governors of Aachen University.

Bernd completed his studies of mechanical engineering in Aachen University with a dissertation in the area of control engineering in 1983 and obtained a doctoral degree.
