Smiyet Belrhiti

Smiyet joined EQT in January 2026 as a Managing Director and Head of the Middle East region. Based in Abu Dhabi, Smiyet leads the firm's multi-strategy investment platform across the region, spearheading EQT's expansion into the Middle East. Prior to joining EQT, he spent nearly 20 years in private equity and corporate investment roles across Europe and the Middle East, with a focus on financial technology, software, and business services. Smiyet holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal.
