Jey Sern Choo

Jey Sern Choo is a Director, Operations at EQT, where he is responsible for value creation across the firm's portfolio companies. He partners with management teams to accelerate growth, strengthen operations, and improve performance over the course of EQT's ownership. Based in Singapore, Jey Sern works closely with EQT's Southeast Asia investment team, covering portfolio companies across the region and supporting them from investment through to exit. Jey Sern joined BPEA in 2021, before the firm joined forces with EQT. Prior to joining BPEA, he was an investment professional at Southern Capital Group, a Southeast Asia–focused buyout firm, and earlier worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and an investment analyst at Deutsche Bank. Jey Sern holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, where he graduated as valedictorian.
