Edward Lavish

Edward Lavish is a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Risk & Transactions for EQT's Private Capital Asia business. In this role, he focuses on driving value creation and mitigating financial risk across the full investment life cycle — from financial due diligence and SPA closing mechanisms, to portfolio company onboarding, financial maturity assessments and special risk reviews, to exit. Edward joined BPEA, which subsequently merged into EQT, in August 2020 and has lived in Hong Kong since 2006. Edward holds an AB in Economics & Business from Lafayette College in the US and is a US CPA (inactive). Prior to EQT, he spent over 22 years at Deloitte — most recently as M&A Transaction Services Leader for Asia Pacific, and earlier as an audit partner serving global private equity clients in New York. Earlier in his career, he held international finance and M&A roles at General Instrument, including Finance Director for Latin America, and began his career at Price Waterhouse in the US and the Netherlands.
