Derek Ng

Derek Ng is a Director at EQT, where he is responsible for the origination, execution and management of private equity investments. Derek also serves as Chief of Staff to the Co-Heads of EQT Private Capital Asia. Derek first joined Baring Private Equity Asia, now part of EQT, in 2016 and rejoined the firm in 2024. In between, he spent six years as a Director at OMERS Private Equity, where he established the firm's direct investment program in Asia Pacific. He began his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York. Derek holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the College of William & Mary, where he graduated magna cum laude.
