Andrew Tay

Andrew Tay is a Managing Director at EQT dedicated to the firm's Mid-Market Opportunity strategy.

Based in Singapore, Andrew's work spans opportunities across Asia, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia. His experience also extends to Australia, where he has been involved in investments during both his time at BPEA and at TA Associates.

Andrew first joined EQT in 2014 as part of BPEA and rejoined the firm in 2026. In between, he spent six years as a Director at TA Associates, based in Singapore and Hong Kong, investing across the technology, healthcare, consumer, and business and financial services sectors. Andrew began his career in New York in investment banking and private equity with Lazard and TruArc Partners respectively.

Andrew holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.Sc. in Operations Research from Columbia University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
