Andrew Tay

Andrew Tay is a Managing Director at EQT Private Capital's Singapore office, dedicated to the firm's Mid-Market Opportunity strategy, with a focus on Southeast Asia. Andrew first joined EQT in 2015 when it was BPEA and rejoined in 2026. In between, he spent six years as a Director at TA Associates, based in Singapore and Hong Kong, investing across the technology, healthcare, consumer, and business and financial services sectors. Andrew began his career in New York in investment banking and private equity with Lazard and TruArc Partners respectively. Andrew holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.Sc. in Operations Research from Columbia University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
