Sophie leads the team who work closely with EQT’s investment advisors and with the portfolio companies to foster sustainability and diversity leadership, to unlock commercial value creation from sustainability and impact strategies and to enable sustainability system change across the healthcare, technology, services and industrial sectors.
Sophie is a Voting member of the EQT Future Investment Committee and Portfolio Performance committee, a member of the EQT Value Creation Management Team and the Sustainability Management Team. Sophie joined EQT Partners in 2021, relocating from London to Munich in 2023, and was promoted to Partner Equivalent in 2024.
Prior to joining EQT Partners, Sophie was UK Board member and UK Head of Sustainability at professional services firm JLL. In this role, she led the sustainability P&Ls, the internal sustainability & diversity functions, and established the public affairs team. Sophie previously led the strategic sustainability consulting function at JLL from 2007 – 2015, when she took on the broader Head of Sustainability role.
Prior to this, Sophie held political, environmental and human rights roles, including working in the UK House of Commons for an MP on the Treasury Select Committee. Sophie holds a MSc in Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University and an MA (Oxon) in English and Modern Languages (Russian) from the University of Oxford.
