Sophie Walker

Sophie is a Senior Advisor, Sustainability & Responsible AI, where she focuses on value creation for the portfolio, fundraising and strategic projects at the intersection of sustainability and AI. Sophie is a Voting member of the EQT Future Investment Committee and Portfolio Performance Review, and chairs the Ethical and Responsible Investment Committee for Private Capital EU/NA. Sophie leads EQT’s approach to responsible AI in collaboration with the digital, sustainability, legal and investment teams. Sophie joined EQT in 2021 as Head of Sustainability, Private Capital, where she oversaw market-leading decarbonization, sustainability and impact performance. She was promoted to Partner (Equivalent) in 2024 and transitioned to Senior Advisor in 2025. Prior to joining EQT, Sophie was UK Board member and UK Head of Sustainability at JLL, where she led the sustainability P&Ls, internal sustainability & diversity functions, and established the public affairs team. She previously led the JLL EMEA strategic sustainability consulting function, from 2007 – 2015. Prior to this, Sophie held political, environmental and human rights roles. Sophie holds degrees from the University of Oxford and Cranfield University, and is currently completing a Masters in AI Ethics & Society at the University of Cambridge.
