Gustav von Sydow

Gustav von Sydow is a Partner at EQT Ventures, where he works closely with portfolio companies to drive value creation and realization across the funds as co-chair of the Portfolio Performance Review and the Exit & Liquidity Review. He joined EQT as an Entrepreneur in Residence, supporting the development of a new AI-driven approach to startup discovery and due diligence that has informed a significant share of Ventures' recent early-stage investments. Before EQT, Gustav co-founded and served as CEO of Burt Corporation, a startup studio focused on data-first products with offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and New York, whose products launched at conferences including TechCrunch50 and DEMO and are used daily by the world's leading internet companies, media groups, and consumer brands. Building companies across both continents made him a natural bridge connecting European founders and investors to the New York technology ecosystem. Earlier in his career he worked as an award-winning advertising creative and developer, and launched his first startup while in high school. Based in New York, Gustav is part of accelerating EQT's expansion in the United States. What excites him most is backing founders building the platforms and networks that give other scientists, builders, and entrepreneurs the leverage to create lasting change.
