The Climate Brick is an open-source, community-driven “missing manual for climate tech.” Born from a collaboration between investors and industry across Europe, it offers seven sector‑specific frameworks, called “bricks”, that serve as strategic roadmaps for scaling climate technologies, highlighting key milestones, financing pathways, and scaling success factors

Mission & Unique Features

• A data‑driven, founder‑first toolkit: Built on rigorous research, including analysis of over 4,000 companies and expert interviews, The Climate Brick provides granular, archetype-specific playbooks for categories like Gigascaling, Asset-as-a-Service, Moonshot, Product Disruption, New Technology, Green Deployment, and Companion Software.
• Built to demystify the scaling journey: It maps funding rounds, capital stack compositions, product lifecycle milestones, and unlocking actions needed for each archetype.
• A growing ecosystem coalition: Featuring ~100 supporters from investors, corporate partners, founders, and policymakers, including EQT Ventures, Contrarian Ventures, Norrsken VC, BMW Foundation, Siemens Energy Ventures, Einride, Climeworks, and more.
• Continuously updated: The 2025 edition reflects ambition to help climate tech ventures not just survive but thrive in the era of resilient, capital-efficient scale.

Objectives / Engagement

• Support institutional spin‑out into a fully independent nonprofit capable of sustaining and expanding the platform as a shared global resource.
• Scale ecosystem participation by engaging a broader base of stakeholders, founders, investors, corporates, policymakers, to continuously co-develop and refine the framework.
