A roll-to-roll discovery and manufacturing platform for earth-abundant electrocatalysts that de-risks their scale-up by transferring learned process control from lab discovery to larger-scale manufacturing. An on-demand factory for earth-abundant functional electrodes and thin-film coatings. Companies should be able to specify performance targets, and we deliver manufactured coatings that meet them, and which are validated for scale, yield, and durability. The platform runs continuous R&D alongside production, so we quickly learn how to scale the production of highly performant earth-abundant materials. Over time, this creates a compounding advantage of faster qualification and lower waste and energy use, which helps us offer cost-effective manufacturing of high-performance substitute materials.
