Impact Quest, sidetrack at Try Everything
Where Seoul’s brightest science-driven startups pitched for global reach and catalytic capital.

About
As an official side event of Try Everything, the South Korea Impact Challenge marked EQT Foundation’s third regional pitch competition. Held in partnership with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Maekyung Media Group and EO Studios as media partner, the event brought together five impact-focused startups to pitch for €100,000 in investment and a place in EQT Foundation’s global breakthrough network. The competition offered founders exposure to EQT’s ecosystem of 1,800 employees and 300 portfolio companies—spanning early- to late-stage innovation.
Code of Nature won the challenge with its moss-based restoration technology designed to bring degraded land back to life. In response to ecological damage caused by wildfires, over-farming, and industrialisation, the company offers a nature-based solution that regenerates soil within 6 to 8 months. Their proprietary moss cultivation and application platform transforms barren landscapes into fertile ground for biodiversity and climate resilience. EQT Foundation backed Code of Nature for its innovative use of biology to restore ecosystems at scale, combining low-tech ecological insight with high-impact potential.
