Tatsuaki Tokunaga

Tatsuaki Tokunaga joined EQT in 2026 and is a Director in the Infrastructure team, based in Tokyo, where he focuses on infrastructure investments across Japan and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Prior to EQT, Tatsuaki was a Principal in KKR's Infrastructure team in Tokyo, where he led deal sourcing and execution across sectors including storage, waste treatment, CDMO, and communications infrastructure. Before that, he spent over five years on Macquarie Asset Management's infrastructure investment team in Tokyo, and earlier worked in investment banking at SMBC Nikko Securities and in transaction advisory at Ernst & Young. Tatsuaki holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University.
