Markus Hetze

Markus Hetze is a Director at EQT Infrastructure, focused on value creation across the portfolio. He joined in 2025 and works at the intersection of deal execution and portfolio operations, helping portfolio companies build the foundation and capability to scale, as well as designing and driving initiatives that create value across the broader EQT Infrastructure portfolio. Markus brings 15 years of experience across private equity operations, general management, and consulting, including six years dedicated to PE portfolio operations across Advent International, Aequita, and EQT Infrastructure portfolio companies. He has worked hands-on through the full deal lifecycle, from acquisition and carve-out through transformation and exit preparation, with a consistent focus on translating strategy into measurable results. Prior to that, he held a General Manager role at Uber, where he built the German e-bike and e-scooter business from the ground up. Prior to that, he was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company advising industrial and energy clients across the US and Southeast Asia. Markus holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from TU Munich and an MBA from INSEAD.
