Efrain Rivera

Efrain Rivera has been working with EQT since 2023. Efrain Rivera is an experienced executive and financial leader with a proven track record in corporate finance and strategic management.

Efrain served as the Senior Advisor to the CEO, and as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer of Paychex, Inc., a leading provider of human capital management solutions. During his tenure at Paychex, he was instrumental in the company's significant growth, more than doubling its annual revenue to $5 billion and raising its market capitalization from $10 billion to approximately $50 billion. Efrain's leadership was key in shaping the company’s financial strategy, driving operational excellence, and expanding its presence globally. Prior to his career at Paychex, Efrain held the position of Senior Vice President and CFO at Bausch & Lomb, a global leader in vision care. During his tenure he led the company's commercial operations in Canada and Latin America and managed the global finance organization including the company’s treasury operations. He played a leading role in taking the company private.

Efrain holds a Doctoral degree in management from Case Western Reserve University, an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, and a Juris Doctor from New York University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and is certified in Financial Management (CFM). In addition to serving on the Board of Magnit, Efrain also serves on the Board of Directors of Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. (Jll) a global real estate services firm, and Franklin Covey Co. (FC) a global performance management firm.
