Alexandra Lutz joined EQT in 2019 and is the Head of Motherbrain, EQT’s proprietary investment platform that uses AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to help EQT’s investment teams and portfolio companies drive value across the ownership lifecycle from sourcing, to due diligence to value creation.
Prior to her role at Motherbrain, Alexandra was the Head of Digital Growth for EQT in the US where she partnered with investment professionals and portfolio company management teams to define and develop thematic investment ideas, source and due diligence targets and then, in the holding
period, identify, define and execute trajectory-changing value creation strategies for the portfolio with an emphasis on go-to-market strategy, product and service innovation, and data strategy.
Alexandra has over twenty years of experience building and scaling digital businesses and delivering tangible value from digital transformation from her past roles as a Chief Strategy Officer, a start-up President and COO and a management consultant. Alexandra’s first career was as an Emmy-award-winning journalist for ABC News where she worked in Moscow, London and New York.
Alexandra has a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
