Converting CO₂ into reusable carbon-based byproducts

The world is warming faster than at any point in recorded history. What is the Solution?

Carbonade, a deep-tech startup company, has developed an innovative electrochemical cell that uses captured CO₂, water and renewable electricity generates a chemical reaction that creates a new reusable carbon compound. All of this happens at ambient temperature, reducing the need to use extra power. The patented, scalable CO₂ reduction solution can efficiently convert carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide, a building block of low-carbon synthetic fuels, plastics, chemicals, cleaning detergents and more. In addition, unlike traditional electrochemical carbon reduction catalysts, it does not require precious metals but common abundant metals, which lowers costs too.

Carbonade's electrolyzer technology is based on peer-reviewed studies and lab tests conducted at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. With low energy requirements compared to current state-of-the-art CO₂ electrolyzer technologies, the system's conversion process is easily adaptable to renewable energies, offering a fully green carbon neutrality production process. Carbonade’s mission is to offer a sustainable solution that is more affordable and cheaper than traditional carbon utilization solutions.
