Matthew Brodnik
Matthew Brodnik has been serving as Global Chief Investment Officer of EQT Real Estate since September 2024, the Chief Investment Officer at EQT Real Estate since December 2019 and also as a Partner at EQT AB since April 2021. In his position at EQT Real Estate, he leads the North American industrial real estate acquisitions and dispositions team. Working together with EQT Real Estate's regional investment and leasing officers, as well as their team of analysts and associates, Mr. Brodnik has successfully transacted on over $14 billion in more than 400 acquisitions, which included more than 230 million square feet of industrial and office properties. Moreover, he has collaborated on over $10 billion in portfolio dispositions, recapitalizations, and co-investments.
Before his current role, from August 2008 to April 2019, Mr. Brodnik held the position of Head of Industrial Acquisition and Portfolio Manager for the Value Add Industrial fund series. Prior to joining EQT Real Estate in 2008, he served as Director of Acquisitions and Finance at Preferred Real Estate Investments, where he successfully transacted over $1 billion of industrial, office, and land investments over a span of four years.
Mr. Brodnik began his career at Hammes Company, a consultancy based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his undergraduate studies at Villanova University and later earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with a concentration in Finance.
