John Lim has been an Advisor to EQT since 2010.
John has more than 50 years of senior management experience in South East Asia and has worked and lived in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. His executive responsibilities have included being CEO of Cold Storage Ltd, Singapore’s largest consumer food manufacturing, distribution and retail supermarket and drug store chain, Deputy executive Chairperson of a global medical device company, LMA International and Group Managing Director of two other major listed companies in Singapore. He has also been non executive Chairperson of Singapore’s construction regulatory body, Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Singapore’s largest power generator and biggest gas importer, Gas Supply Pte Ltd among other public and private sector board appointments. John is currently independent non executive Chairperson of a major construction and engineering company and a real estate investment trust, both listed on Singapore’s stock exchange, and a board member of three private companies in k-12 and college education and in a premium retail food and beverage chain of retail outlets in the region. John has more than 30 years directorship experience in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and UK.
John is also a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of Mid-Market Asia III.
John has a BA Honours degree in Economics from the University of Malaya and has attended senior management programs at IMEDE in Lausanne, Switzerland, Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles and Yale School of Management, New Haven, Connecticut.
